Boys will be boys...

It goes without saying that some accidents are bound to happen with 27 very active boys between 7-20 years living together in the same place… This month 2 of the youngest boys, Toby & Dylan ended up in hospital with broken arms! Toby’s facture wasn’t very complicated and the local doctors were able to treat him.
Dylan (right) wasn’t that ‘lucky’… He was out playing with his friends and the next thing we knew was a boy screaming with a twisted arm. We rushed him to the hospital only to find out that the fracture was too complicated to treat here. The doctor contacted a hospital in Chiang Mai and recommended us to drive him down immediately. (By then it was 5.30 pm). It was a long and slow drive down the mountains for Dylan & Inger-Lise. By the time they had driven the 240 km to reach Chiang Mai, it was past 1 AM… Dylan was operated the next morning and had to stay another 2 days in hospital for observation.
He has now regained his strength and usually just sits still and observes the other children playing.
