Here are some shots taken an early Saturday morning in House of Hope. The children are all divided into teams with different chores they have to do, like working in our vegetable gardens or collecting litter. Although they work, there's always a smile to find!

Hairy times!

Nowadays everything seems to be growing at House of Hope! The children are growing taller every day, the vegetables are growing, the grass .... and the children's hair! Well, at least for some fun time with Inger-Lise/Nang Mwe Nguen's hair! We hope you get a good, (hairy!) laugh from these pictures!

Mother's Day in Thailand

August 12 marks the birthday of HRH queen Sirikit of Thailand. This day is also Mother's Day in Thailand. It it is quite an emotional and touching day where mothers are honored and acknowledged nationwide. Then children pay their respects by offering Jasmine flowers and kneeling down to pay their respects and receive blessings. This year we celebrated Mother's Day at House of Hope as well! It was a great opportunity for the children to display their gratefulness and honor the female staff. The children had also prepared role plays and gifts.
